I'm tentatively going to call this fixed w/the blackstone GPS drivers and settings i'm using. The GPS behaved 200% better on the road, went down the same track I go all the time (starbucks run) and it was notably more accurate and less laggy.
The driver does appear to be doing some interpolation between position reports though, looks like it might be a Moving Average type of algorithm, with the last handful of positional reports being averaged to give you a more 'static' location.
Either way with the new drivers i'm alot happier with the functionality. It seems to be faster at getting a lock tooSursa: Da_G

There's no doubt that the Touch Pro/Fuze GPS is lagging. I was comparing it with my imate 8502 today and doing a side by side test, the Fuze is consistently at least 1 second behind. This is confirmed not only by looking at the map, but also at the GPS coordinate. The imate 8502 is quite accurate.

Niste setari pt a mai diminua lag-ul de pozitie:

SAU daca nu vreti sa modificati manual, puteti face import de registrii cu Total Commander. (copy la fisierul reg si mergeti in plugins -> registry si paste SAU drag & drop SAU copy to.. vedeti voi).

Apasati butonul on/off scurt de 2 ori si dupa vreo 5 secunde (ca sa va asigurati ca modificarile au fost salvate in fisierul ce contine registrii) faceti un soft reset.

@DSF tie cum iti mai merge GPS-ul ?Ai facut setarile specificate de tine.
Eu nu mai folosesc GPS-ul ca ma apuca DRACII !!!
Am instalat Garmin mobile XT pe el care are o harta a Romaniei de vreo 412 MB (uriasa fata de cea a iGo-ului) dar are un lag urias.
Daca as avea ocazia sa stau de vorba cu un "cintezoi oficial " de la HTC i-as da in cap cu Touch Pro-ul ...le-am trimis email ii doare la "banana".
Problema este ca am dat multi bani pe el,am facut un sacrificiu financiar,aveam pretentii...

Pai cu setarile alea imi mergea destul de bine. Am facut o comparatie cu Eten X800 (chipset GPS Sirf Star III). Am pus pe ambele aceasi versiune de igo 8. Pe Eten X800 mergea cu probleme.. in sensul ca se bloca aplicatia (nu raspundea la nimic) des si isi revenea dupa cateva minute (eten-ul se misca jalnic per total).
Cand mergea pe Eten X800, ma pozitiona cam la fel si pe Touch Pro, poate cu vreo 0,5-1m mai in spate. Doar cand terbuia schimbata directia, de ex, luat la stanga, atunci pe Touch Pro ii lua ceva mai mult, cam 1-2 secunde dupa care se actualiza pozitia actuala. Pe drum liniar e OK..
Problema cu Garmin XT este din cauza softului.. am inteles ca Garmin isi face update la ecran doar o data pe secunda, nu e de la GPS.

pot spune ca touch pro n-are asa ceva
mi-am complicat traseul folosind touch pro-ul. mai repede as ajunge intreband lumea
mai bine ar renunta cei de la HTC. n-are rost un telefon plin de buguri si la banii astia
urmatoarele device-uri pt mine cu siguranta nu vor mai fi HTC

Legat de celebrul lag a gps-ului de pe TP
