1.Download the USB ROM updater tool.
2.Check that your PDA is not connected to your PC.
3.Disable USB option in Active Sync by right clicking on its tray icon, Choosing <Connection Settings> and then Unmarking <Allow USB connections> The tray icon of Active Sync will change and a red spot will be shown on it.
4.Shutdown your PDA or remove and place back the battery.
5.In your PDA enter in the bootloader menu by pressing and holding VolumeUP button + DirectionalDOWN button and then press call End button (red one) quickly while the previous two are still pressed. Release the buttons when the uBoot menu appears.
6.In your PDA select option FlashROM Upgrade > UBOOT with USB
7.Connect your PDA to the PC through USB and wait a couple of seconds.
8.In your PC Run the ROM updater and press OK.
9.Download and extract the BIN file that you can find inside this ZIP archive.
10.In your PC select, in the image File 1 field, the BIN file that you have extracted in the previous step. Press OK and follow the instructions in your PC and in your PDA screens, specially the last one asking for a reset. Use the reset hole in the top right side of your PDA Phone.
11.In your PC close the updater tool.
12.Check that your PDA is not connected to your PC.
13.Shutdown your PDA. Removing and placing back the battery is the only way in some cases.
14.Enter in the bootloader menu by pressing and holding VolumeUP button + DirectionalDOWN button and then press call End button (red one) quickly while the previous two are still pressed. Release the buttons when the menu appears.
15.In your PDA select option FlashROM Upgrade > Total img by USB
16.Connect your PDA to the PC through USB and wait a couple of seconds.
17.In your PC Run the ROM updater and press OK.
18.Download and extract the BIN file that you can find inside this RAR archive.
19.In your PC select, in the image File 1 field, the BIN file that you have extracted in the previous step. Press OK and follow the instructions in your PC and in your PDA screens, specially the last one asking for a reset.
20.In your PC close the updater tool.
21.Once finished, enable USB option in Active Sync by right clicking on its tray icon, Choosing <Connection Settings> and then checking <Allow USB connections>
your uBoot release will be UT48. and all the flashing problems related to newer uBoots will be gone.

Informații generale firmware
Ce este un firmware?
Firmware este denumirea generica pentru partea software a unui telefon mobil.
În funcție de platformă, se mai poate găsi și sub numele de: ROM, Monster Pack (MP).
Procesul de scriere (flashuire) a firmware-ului nu trebuie oprit sub nici o formă. S-ar putea ca telefonul dvs. să "moară".
MobileWave nu e responsabil pentru eventualele defecte cauzate în timpul procesului de resoftare (eg: update de soft, upgrade ROM, schimbare soft). Flashuiți pe cont propriu și cu mare grija.
Informații tipuri de firmware
Pe site gasiți mai mai multe tipuri de firmware:
- OS ROM - conține partea soft cu întregul sistem de operare, fie OS flexibil, fie soft proprietar.
- Unlocking - unelte pentru deblocare CID/rețea. Uneori esențiale înainte de a face update de ROM - depinde de platforma/OS (valabil pe vremea Windows Mobile).
- Bootloader - conține doar software-ul pentru boot. Unele ROM-uri au nevoie de o versiune de bootloader anume.
- Radio - conține doar softul pentru partea radio ce e responsabila de semnal GSM, GPRS, EDGE, 3G, etc.
